Date Completed: September 2020
Relining of potable cold water storage tank measuring 3m x 2m x 1m. Works also included the installation of a new drop arm float valve.
The sectional steel water tank located at this school was severely corroded and had been raised a major compliance failing in a recent Legionella Risk Assessment. Due to its location, replacing the tank was not feasible so an alternative strategy was required. The tank also needed a new ball valve due to the poor condition of the existing one.
The Titan Mechanical Services engineering team drained, prepared and relined the internal surfaces of the tank using our state of the art WRAS approved polyurethane paints. A new drop arm ball valve was also installed. On completion, the new tank was refilled, cleaned and disinfected before being put back on line. The works were completed over four days during a half term holiday to ensure no disruption to service.
